- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon curry powder, garam masala
- 6 garlic cloves, fresh, minced, finely chopped
- 1 (400 g) can tomatoes, chopped peeled
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, similar Mediterranean mix
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 tablespoon soya sauce
- 250 ml dry white wine
- 1 kg mussels, plump, in the half shell, room temperature
